Comment les chiffres sont calculés

  • Distance: haversine formula between airport coordinates (src/lib/geo.ts) over a 113-airport registry — no schedules, no external sources.
  • Duration: published geometric estimate = (km ÷ 850 km/h) × 60 + a 35-minute taxi/climb allowance.
  • Each hub page shows two tables: the 20 farthest destinations, then the 5 shortest hops for contrast, with a flight-time calculator link when it exists in the catalog.

FAQ

How is flight time estimated without schedules?

A published geometric estimate: (km ÷ 850 km/h) × 60 minutes, plus a 35-minute taxi/climb allowance. The same model backs our airport guides and flight-time calculators.

Why great-circle distance, not the actual flight path?

Distance is the haversine formula between airport coordinates — the shortest path over the earth's surface. Real flights run slightly longer due to airways and winds, but the relative ranking of routes barely changes.

Are these actually bookable nonstop flights?

Not necessarily. The study ranks our 113-airport network by distance from each departure hub — some pairs may have no commercial nonstop. Use the search box above to check which flights actually operate.
