How the Age Calculator Works
Age is the calendar difference between the birth date and the target date: year from year, month from month, day from day. When the day count would go negative the calculator borrows the length of the previous month, and a negative month count borrows twelve months from the year. Leap years and February 29 birthdays are handled automatically. Example: born June 15, 1990, the age on October 16, 2026 is 36 years, 4 months, 1 day.
