AliExpress Fake-Discount Detector

AliExpress usually shows a struck-through "original" price and a lower sale price — and the "original" is sometimes raised right before a sale to make the discount look bigger. We can't read the seller's mind, but we can weigh the evidence: (1) the price snapshots we've stored for this exact product over past days and weeks — if the current price is genuinely below its historical average the discount is real, and if the "original" is above anything we've ever recorded it's likely inflated; (2) prices of similar products on sale right now — if their median sits near the current sale price, the "original" is questionable. We only issue a verdict when the evidence supports one; when signals conflict or data is thin we say so honestly instead of dressing up a guess.
