Instead of working from a supplier's ballpark figure, this calculator derives your formwork requirement from Contact Area = 2 × (L + W) × H; Sheets = Area ÷ 2.98 + 10% using the exact wall dimensions and sheet size you provide. The arithmetic stays transparent: each result links back to the displayed formula, so you can audit any number. For instance: A 3 × 0.2 × 2.5 m wall has 2 × (3 + 0.2) × 2.5 = 16 m² contact - 6 sheets plus 66 tie cones. Keep in mind: One tie per 0.6 m² of wall face is the safe default. Quantities are rounded conservatively so offcuts, spillage and delivery shortages never stop work mid-job.
