  This Julian Months Between Dates follows Julian calendar rules — its own epoch, month lengths, and leap years — so the result can differ from a Gregorian-based calculation of the same date; treat the calendar system as part of the input.

  Time zones can move a Julian date by a full day around midnight: today in one zone is still yesterday or tomorrow in another, so anchor the calculation to the zone your event actually follows before you enter anything.

  Watch century boundaries and very old dates in the Julian system: historical calendars dropped or added days when they were adopted, which is invisible in daily use but material for long-range historical calculations here.

• Month lengths are not uniform, so “months between” is a count of calendar months, never days ÷ 30: two ranges with the same day count under the Julian calendar can differ by a month. Let the tool walk the actual month boundaries.

• Entering a date the tool cannot parse — day above the month's length, month 13, or a stray letter — makes many tools fall back to today silently. Check the parsed echo of your Julian input before reading any derived number.
