  Julian and Chinese dates do not map one-to-one — the two systems start from different epochs and count leap years differently, so enter the full Julian date and read the Chinese equivalent instead of shifting the year by a fixed offset.

  For deadlines tied to authorities or contracts, confirm which calendar the deadline officially uses before converting it here — a Julian–Chinese date read in the wrong system can be off by days or even a full year.

  Leap rules differ between the calendars behind Julian–Chinese, so a span that looks like whole years in one system can land a day or two off in another; trust the converted result rather than a fixed mental offset.

• Anniversaries do not survive conversion unchanged: a Julian date maps to a fixed Chinese date, but next year's Julian anniversary lands on a different Chinese date. Reconvert each occurrence instead of adding one year to the last result.

• The Julian and Chinese calendars differ in year length and leap pattern, so a fixed-day offset — 365, 354, any memorized constant — drifts the Chinese date badly. Convert the complete date so both leap rules apply.
