  This Julian Season Finder follows Julian calendar rules — its own epoch, month lengths, and leap years — so the result can differ from a Gregorian-based calculation of the same date; treat the calendar system as part of the input.

  Leap rules differ between the calendars behind Julian, so a span that looks like whole years in one system can land a day or two off in another; trust the converted result rather than a fixed mental offset.

  For deadlines tied to authorities or contracts, confirm which calendar the deadline officially uses before converting it here — a Julian date read in the wrong system can be off by days or even a full year.

• Intercalation is system-private: the Julian year runs 365–366 days because leap months follow rules no other calendar shares, so a Gregorian every-fourth-year reflex misreads julian dates. Let the tool apply the julian rule to a season lookup.

• Entering a date the tool cannot parse — day above the month's length, month 13, or a stray letter — makes many tools fall back to today silently. Check the parsed echo of your Julian input before reading any derived number.
