Will It Fit Me? — AliExpress Size-Chart Fit Advisor

Quick answer

Stop guessing your size: copy the cm numbers from the listing's size chart, enter your own body measurements, and get a verdict for every listed size — tight /

Figures are estimates from this calculator’s standard formula — adjust the inputs in the tool below for your exact number.

How the fit advisor works

Margin = garment girth (from the listing's chart) − your body girth, per dimension (chest/waist/hips). Enough positive margin = a size that fits.

A garment fits when its girth exceeds your body's by enough "ease": roughly 4–6 cm for fitted cuts, 6–10 cm for regular, and more for relaxed fits. You copy the chart's cm numbers — the only real ground truth, since every seller publishes their own — and we compute the margin for every listed size and judge it. We also handle charts that give the flat garment width (we double it) and stretch fabrics that tolerate less ease. And we explicitly warn when a margin is under 2 cm, because tape error and chart variance can easily flip the verdict there.

  1. 1

    Step 1: Measure yourself

With a tape: chest at the fullest point, waist at the narrowest, hips at the widest — in centimetres.

  2. 2

Step 2: Copy the listing's chart

From the AliExpress product page, copy each size's name and numbers (chest/waist/hips) exactly as printed.

  3. 3

    Step 3: Read the verdict

For every size: smaller than you / tight / regular / loose, with the margin in cm and the size closest to your taste.

FAQs

Are AliExpress size charts accurate?

They are usually more reliable than the S/M/L label itself, but not guaranteed: ±1–2 cm variance between charts is common. That's why we warn when the margin is under 2 cm — the range where that variance can flip the verdict. Also read buyer reviews: they often say "runs smaller than expected" or the opposite.

What's the difference between body girth and flat garment width?

Some charts give the recommended body girth (a number you compare with directly); others give the garment measured flat on a table — which is half the girth. If you compare your own girth to a flat width you'll buy one or two sizes too big. Choose "flat garment width" in the tool and we double the number automatically.

The tool says a size is "tight" — should I size up?

Usually yes: "tight" means the margin is below what a regular cut needs (but the garment is not smaller than you). If you like a close fit it may work; if you prefer comfort, take the next size. The verdict follows the preferred fit you selected in the tool.

Does the tool read the size chart automatically?

No. AliExpress policy forbids scraping product pages, so the tool works from the numbers you copy yourself. Bonus: everything runs in your browser — your measurements never leave your device.

How do you handle stretchy fabrics?

Tick "the fabric is stretchy" and we allow less ease, down to zero (the fabric stretches over you), marking sizes that depend on it with a "relies on fabric stretch" badge. Non-stretch woven fabrics don't tolerate this — leave the option off for them.
