How the unit-price comparer works

Cost per unit = (price + shipping) ÷ units per pack

Shipping is part of the real price: we add it to the pack price and divide by the units in the pack, giving one comparable per-unit cost across listings — provided every listing uses the same unit (pieces, grams, ml or metres).

FAQs

Why do you include shipping in the unit price?

Because it’s part of what you actually pay. A $10 item with $9 shipping for a 10-pack costs $1.9 per piece, while an $18 item with free shipping for the same pack costs $1.8 — without shipping the ranking would be reversed.

Can I compare a listing sold by grams with one sold by pieces?

Not directly. Pick one unit for the whole comparison and convert mixed packs yourself (e.g. 3 × 50 g = 150 g) before entering them, otherwise the ranking is meaningless.

Does the tool fetch prices from AliExpress?

No — and it doesn’t need to. You type the numbers from the product pages you’re comparing, and all the maths happens in your browser with no network calls and no storage.

What does the “cheapest per unit” badge mean?

It marks the listing with the lowest cost for a single unit once shipping is added. It may not be the lowest sticker price, but it’s the best value per unit you buy.
